
Coranderrk Bushland Reserve
Set over 142 hectares and nestled close to Healesville Sanctuary, Coranderrk
Bushland Reserve is managed by Zoo’s Victoria who have a vision of restoring
an ecological balance to the bush land and protecting the 264 species of birds,
mammals, reptiles, frogs and fish that live within the reserve.
The majority of the vegetation at Coranderrk Bushland Reserve is bush.
Due to encroachment by modern advancements in the area, public access to
the reserve is strictly prohibited.
If you want to see Australian wildlife in its natural environment, check out
Healesville Sanctuary which is located right next door. With a focus on
conservation, the Sanctuary is committed to fighting wildlife extinction and promotes sustainability within the park. There are many animal exhibits that visitors can see, as well as wildlife shows and keeper demonstrations which are FREE with the cost of your admission.

Healesville Sanctuary
Healesville Sanctuary, formally known as the Sir Colin MacKenzie Sanctuary, is a zoo specializing in native Australian animals. It is located at Healesville in rural Victoria, Australia, and has a history of breeding native animals. It is one of only two places to have successfully bred a platypus, the other being Sydney's Taronga Zoo. It also assists with a breeding population of the endangered helmeted honeyeater.
The zoo is set in a natural bushland environment where paths wind through different habitat areas showcasing wallabies, wombats, dingoes, kangaroos, and over 200 native bird varieties.
Guided tours, bird shows and information areas are available to visitors.

Maroondah Reservoir Park
The Maroondah Reservoir is located in the township of Healesville, just 70 minutes east of Melbourne. As one of the stunning locations in the upper Yarra Valley, the Maroondah Reservoir Park is often visited by a huge amount of day trippers, picnickers and hikers.
The Maroondah Reservoir Parkland houses the Maroondah Dam where visitors can take a tour and climb to the lookout and admire the spectacular view of the 41 metre high dam wall. The reservoir is the main catchment of the surrounding mountain area and is an important source of Melbourne’s water.
When it comes to wildlife watching, there are plenty of species to see. Commonly found animals and birds are the kings parrot, galahs, cockatoos, wombats, possums, wallabies and echidnas. The bushtail and ringtail possums are seen in abundance after sunset and you may also come across some yellow-bellied gliders and frogmouths if you have a keen eye

Blueberry Farm
Nestled next to the famous Healesville Sanctuary, the Badger Creek
Blueberry Farm is a family owned farm, winery and cafe which as
been operating since 2007.
The farm owners boast over 25 years of experience in growing
blueberries. With their profound knowledge in blueberry cultivation,
the Badger Creek Blueberry Farm owners produce some of the best
varieties of blueberries in Australia.
The lush property overlooks the most scenic areas in Healesville and
offers an impressive outlook of the picturesque hilly escarpments in
the Yarra Valley.
The Badger Creek farm sells fresh berries from December to February. However, you can still come here any time of the year as the farm sells a range of frozen berries all year round. The farm also sells blueberry plants at a wholesale price. You can speak with the farmers at Badger Creek and seek for their helpful tips and advice for blueberry plantation.
The property also boasts a cafe that offers tea and coffee, baked delights and tasty treats.
Badger Creek Blueberry Farm also produces a range of delicious fruit wines including a wide array of fortified and still wine. Sample their house-special blueberry sparkling wine, which is offered to each visitor for tasting. There is an onsite winery cellar door, where you can also taste an array of unique fruit wines including port and sparkling wine.
Some of their homemade berry products are also available for tasting. So you can try their homemade jelly and jams before deciding whether to buy.
